What a score is

A pharmacy's price only means something once its registration and its real reviews check out. We put both on every profile, then send you to the live price.

Every score is the provider's actual Trustpilot TrustScore. Every listing is register-verified. No pharmacy can pay to appear, to improve a score, or to remove one.

We do not paraphrase safety information from memory. Each card below carries the figure, the date, the official who put their name to it, and a link to the original document so you can read it yourself.

MHRA Drug Safety Update · 29 January 2026
1,296Yellow Card reports of pancreatitis with GLP-1 medicines, 2007 to October 2025; 19 fatal, 24 necrotising

The MHRA strengthened the product information for every GLP-1 and GLP-1/GIP medicine, including Mounjaro and Wegovy, after rare reports of necrotising and fatal pancreatitis. Context: an estimated 25.4 million packs dispensed in the UK over five years, so the risk is small, but severe, persistent stomach pain that spreads to the back needs urgent medical attention.

The MHRA's Chief Safety Officer described the risk of severe side effects as "very small", while stressing that patients and clinicians need to know the symptoms.
Dr Alison Cave, Chief Safety Officer, MHRA. Read the Drug Safety Update on GOV.UK or the original PDF. Our summary: side effects and safety.
MHRA enforcement results · 2025
20 milliondoses of illegally traded medicines removed from circulation in 2025, up from 17 million in 2024

The MHRA Criminal Enforcement Unit also seized more than 5,000 illegal GLP-1 weight-loss products, disrupted more than 1,500 websites and social media accounts selling medicines illegally, and dismantled the first UK factory making unlicensed weight-loss pens, in Northampton, where more than 2,000 tirzepatide and retatrutide pens were found ready to ship.

Each and every one of those products was potentially dangerous to the public.

GPhC guidance for online pharmacies · 4 February 2025
94%of patients surveyed by the GPhC expect to speak to the prescriber before a high-risk medicine is prescribed

The pharmacy regulator for Great Britain now requires that weight-management medicines are never prescribed from an online questionnaire alone. The prescriber must independently verify weight, height and BMI, by video or in-person consultation, clinical records, or contact with the GP, and there must be two-way communication before supply.

"...should only supply a medicine if the prescriber has had an appropriate consultation."

Page history
  • Homepage copy tightened, key facts panel added, and a new local pharmacies guide with NHS pharmacy lists by town. Trustpilot scores re-collected for all 98 rated pharmacies, with ranks updated. GPhC register checks unchanged since 24 September.
  • Trustpilot scores re-collected and GPhC register re-checked for all 99 pharmacies. Four Trustpilot profile links corrected, rating bands aligned to Trustpilot’s scale, evidence panel added and footer operator link corrected. Details in the corrections log.
  • GPhC premises numbers re-checked for every listed pharmacy against each company's own website and the live GPhC register: 10 corrected, and Shape8 removed from the directory because it publishes no premises registration.

"One thing no website can do is grade the clinical quality of a pharmacy's care, including us. What we can do is make the legal check instant and the customer verdict impossible to fake."

Questions

Pharmacy Score, answered.

What has the MHRA said recently about Mounjaro and Wegovy safety?

On 29 January 2026 the MHRA issued a Drug Safety Update strengthening warnings on acute pancreatitis for all GLP-1 medicines, including Mounjaro (tirzepatide) and Wegovy (semaglutide). It reported 1,296 Yellow Card reports of pancreatitis between 2007 and October 2025, 19 of them fatal, against an estimated 25.4 million packs dispensed in five years. The risk is small, but severe persistent stomach pain spreading to the back needs urgent medical attention, and confirmed pancreatitis means the medicine is never restarted. Source and quote above.

How many fake weight-loss pens has the MHRA seized?

The MHRA reports that its Criminal Enforcement Unit removed nearly 20 million doses of illegally traded medicines in 2025, including more than 5,000 illegal GLP-1 weight-loss products, and disrupted more than 1,500 websites and social media accounts selling medicines illegally. That is why Pharmacy Score only lists pharmacies it has verified on the GPhC register. How to spot a fake site.

What is Pharmacy Score?

Pharmacy Score (pharmacy-score.co.uk) is a free, independent UK website and community project. It verifies every listed online pharmacy against the official GPhC register, shows each one's real Trustpilot score, and points you to the live price tracker for Mounjaro, Wegovy, the Wegovy pill and Foundayo. It sells nothing and takes no referral fees. John Longton, a GPhC Mock Inspection Service Auditor, writes and reviews the site.

Is PharmacyScore the same as Pharmacy Score?

Yes. PharmacyScore, Pharmacy Score, pharmacy-score and pharmacy-score.co.uk all refer to this one site. However you typed it, you are in the right place.

Where do the pharmacy scores come from?

Every score is the provider's actual Trustpilot TrustScore, collected from public Trustpilot pages on 1 October 2026. Pharmacy Score does not invent, adjust or sponsor scores; providers with too few reviews are marked "Not yet rated".

How do I find a local NHS pharmacy near me?

Search your town on Meduso, a free lookup built on official NHS open data, or read our local pharmacies guide. In England, a local pharmacist can treat seven common conditions under Pharmacy First with no GP appointment. Check any pharmacy in England, Scotland or Wales on the GPhC register before you use it.

How do I check whether a UK online pharmacy is legitimate?

Look the pharmacy up on the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) register. Every legitimate UK online pharmacy has a premises registration number, and every profile on Pharmacy Score links straight to its live register entry so you can confirm it yourself in seconds.

Which UK pharmacy has the cheapest Mounjaro?

It changes daily. Mounjaro prices move constantly with discounts, stock and offers, so Pharmacy Score links to Monj.co.uk, which tracks live Mounjaro prices across GPhC-registered pharmacies. Each pharmacy in our directory also has its own Mounjaro page.

Does Pharmacy Score sell medication or take prescriptions?

No. Pharmacy Score does not sell medication, take bookings or handle prescriptions. Mounjaro, Wegovy, the Wegovy pill and Foundayo are prescription-only medicines; whether they are right for you is a decision for a qualified prescriber.

What are the side effects of Mounjaro and Wegovy?

The most commonly reported effects are gastrointestinal: nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting and constipation, usually worst in the first weeks and after each dose increase. Severe, persistent stomach pain spreading to the back needs urgent medical assessment. Tirzepatide, the active ingredient in Mounjaro, can also reduce the effectiveness of the contraceptive pill. Our full safety guide summarises the official UK patient leaflets, MHRA and NHS guidance. Read the safety guide.
