Foundayo vs Wegovy Pill.

Two daily GLP-1 tablets, one key difference: Foundayo needs no fasting. What we know about how they'll compare on UK price.

Today's live prices.

Prices move daily, so the honest comparison is a live one:

The honest comparison.

Foundayo (orforglipron, Eli Lilly) and the Wegovy pill (oral semaglutide, Novo Nordisk) are both once-daily GLP-1 tablets — but Foundayo is a small molecule, not a peptide, so it can be taken at any time of day, with or without food. No fasting window, no thirty-minute wait. For many people, that alone will settle the practical question.

On price: the Wegovy pill has been on sale in the UK since July 2026. Foundayo was licensed by the MHRA on 10 August 2026 and reaches pharmacies over the coming weeks — and early pre-order pricing announced by UK providers undercuts the Wegovy pill's typical range. As a small molecule it's cheaper to manufacture and needs no cold chain, which should keep pricing competitive as more providers list it. Live prices for both: Frayo.co.uk and oGovy.co.uk.

Trial results put average weight loss at 11.2% for the highest Foundayo dose (ATTAIN-1, 72 weeks) versus around 13.6% for the Wegovy pill — close enough that convenience and price may decide it for many patients, with a prescriber's guidance.
