Wegovy Pill vs Injection Prices.
Same semaglutide, two very different routines — daily tablet with a fasting rule, or a weekly injection. Here's how to compare them on price and practicality.
Today's live prices.
Prices move daily, so the honest comparison is a live one:
The honest comparison.
The Wegovy pill and the Wegovy injection share an active ingredient — semaglutide — but that's where the similarity ends. The tablet is taken daily on an empty stomach with a thirty-minute wait before food, drink or other medicines. The injection is once a week, no fasting involved.
Fewer UK providers publish a pill price than an injection price, so the tablet market is thinner and worth comparing carefully. Doses don't map one-to-one between the two forms — they're absorbed differently — so a prescriber should guide any switch.
