Missed a Mounjaro or Wegovy dose? What the leaflets say.

There's a grace window for a late dose, and a point where the leaflet says skip instead.

In short

There's a grace window for a late dose, and a point where the leaflet says skip instead.

Missing a weekly dose happens: travel, a delayed delivery, a forgotten Sunday. Both leaflets give you a window.

Mounjaro

If it's within 4 days (96 hours) of the missed dose, take it as soon as you can, then continue on your normal day. If more than 4 days have passed, skip it and take the next dose on schedule. Never double up.

Wegovy

The window is 5 days: within that, take the dose and carry on; beyond it, skip to the next scheduled day. Again, never take two doses to catch up.

Daily tablets

For the Wegovy pill or Foundayo, the rule is the familiar one: if you miss a day, skip it and take the next tablet at the usual time, no doubling.

Repeated missed doses, or a gap of more than a couple of weeks, is a prescriber conversation, you may be advised to restart lower. Sources: the official patient leaflets at the electronic medicines compendium.

These are the bodies that actually regulate, appraise and advise. If anything you read anywhere (including here) disagrees with them, believe them.
